Professional experience

Joseph is a United States Army combat veteran, and his approach to training is grounded in operational experience and a deep understanding of the working relationship between people and dogs. His background is exceptionally broad. He has worked with military K9s, explosive detection K9s and search and rescue K9s, roles in which a dog's reliability carries genuine consequence. He has trained service dogs to assist people with disabilities, conservation K9s for wildlife and environmental protection work, and protection K9s for security applications. Beyond specialised working dogs, he has extensive experience rehabilitating shelter dogs and giving them a genuine second chance, alongside training family pets into well mannered companions. He is nationally certified as a Trainer, Instructor and Explosive Detection K9 Handler. That combination of certifications and operational history means Joseph can tailor a program to virtually any requirement, whether the dog is destined for work, service or simply a good life at home.

A little bit about me

Joseph combines proven technique with real world experience, and his mission is to help every dog reach its full potential while strengthening the relationship between dog and owner through clear communication, trust and consistency. Those three principles are the same ones that underpin operational K9 work, where ambiguity is not an option, and he applies them just as rigorously to a family pet. His view is that dogs are not simply animals but family, and every dog he works with is treated with love, respect and compassion regardless of the reason it came to him. That matters when an owner is handing over a dog with a difficult history. His goal extends past training the animal to building a stronger, lifelong relationship between the dog and the people it belongs to, and his record across military, service and rehabilitation work shows he has the range to deliver it.
