Professional experience
Jessica was born in South Florida and has spent most of her life in Southern California, and dogs have been a constant throughout. She grew up surrounded by them and spent her childhood teaching them tricks, often pretending to be a dog trainer long before she understood it would become her actual profession. That early instinct turned into a career, and she now brings over fifteen years of experience working with dogs. Fifteen years is enough to have developed genuine depth, and her specialisms reflect a trainer who has kept pushing rather than settling. Her work covers basic and advanced training, rehabilitation, and dog sports, which is a combination that suits owners with ambitions beyond basic manners as well as those dealing with behavioural difficulty. The sports element is not incidental. Competitive training demands precision and consistency that raise a trainer's standard across everything else they do, and Jessica brings that discipline to every dog she works with.
A little bit about me
Jessica currently shares her life with a German shepherd, and together they train in advanced obedience and personal protection while preparing to compete in Protection Sports Association trials. That is demanding work with a demanding breed, and it keeps her skills sharp in a way that client work alone would not. For owners, a trainer actively competing at that level is a meaningful signal, because the standard required in trial conditions is considerably higher than most pet dogs will ever need, and it means she is well within her limits when handling an ordinary household problem. What began as a child pretending to be a dog trainer has become a fifteen year career built on genuine and sustained enthusiasm, and that consistency of interest is something families tend to recognise quickly.
