Professional experience
Theresa has been training dogs for more than ten years and describes it without hesitation as her lifetime passion. Born and raised in north Georgia, she got her first dog at seven years old and fell in love with training animals from that point onward, which makes this a vocation she has been building toward for most of her life. Her professional credentials are substantial. She holds the CPDT-KA certification, one of the more rigorous independent qualifications in the industry, and is an AKC certified evaluator. She also maintains current certification in canine CPR and heat stroke response, which matters more than owners often realise when a dog is boarding in a Georgia summer. Her practical experience runs the full span from puppy training through to protection work, and she is open about being willing to help in any area a family needs. That combination of formal qualification, decade plus experience and genuine breadth makes her a strong option for owners with complicated requirements.
A little bit about me
Theresa's own dogs tell you a good deal about her standards. She owns two Belgian Malinois, Echo and Holly, both of whom hold their Canine Good Citizen certification and are actively working toward further titles. Belgian Malinois are demanding, high drive dogs that expose any gap in a handler's skill, and training two of them to titled standard is not something achieved casually. Her work covers everything from early puppy development through to protection training, and she takes the view that there are few situations she is not equipped to help with. Training dogs is how Theresa has chosen to spend her life rather than simply how she earns a living, and owners tend to notice the difference in the level of care she brings to their dog.
