Allie brings over thirteen years of professional experience and a genuinely wide range of expertise, running from basic obedience and complex behaviour modification through to competitive obedience and task specific training for service and working dogs. That span is unusual, because the skills required at each end are very different. Competitive obedience demands precision and consistency, behaviour modification demands patience and accurate reading of a dog's emotional state, and service dog work demands reliability in unpredictable public environments. Allie works across all of it. Her particular passion is working and protection sports, where she draws on a deep understanding of canine behaviour and performance to build training plans that are effective because they are properly tailored rather than generic. Whether the dog in front of her is a family pet or a highly specialised working animal, her approach starts the same way, which is by establishing what this specific dog and this specific owner actually need.

Allie's training philosophy is rooted firmly in positive reinforcement, and she is unambiguous about where she stands. She does not use aversive techniques, and instead builds results through trust, confidence and clear communication. Her aim is to ensure every dog she works with experiences training as something engaging and stress free rather than something to be endured, because a dog that is comfortable learns considerably faster.
