Professional experience
Tracie brings over twenty five years of experience training both dogs and their owners, and she has built her career around helping families understand what is happening at the other end of the leash. Her expertise covers service dog training, serious behavioural issues, socialisation and the informed use of a range of training tools, drawing on both positive and balanced methodologies. She is particularly focused on educating owners about the reasoning behind their dog's behaviour, helping them navigate reactivity, aggression and breed specific instincts safely and successfully. Across her career she has worked with thousands of dogs nationally. She has managed a large kennel and rehabilitation facility specialising in severe behavioural cases, rescued a considerable number of dogs from euthanasia, assisted with court mandated training for bite cases, and provided trained service dogs for veterans and people with disabilities. She has also run large scale socialisation sessions with as many as one hundred dogs at a time, which is a genuine indicator of her ability to read and manage a room.
A little bit about me
Tracie has trained under some of the most respected people in the field and is well versed in the humane and effective use of training tools where they are genuinely warranted. A significant proportion of her clients arrive having already worked with several other trainers without success, and they find lasting results through her guidance, which is perhaps the most telling endorsement available. Her priority has consistently been the welfare of the dog rather than the commercial outcome, and she has never turned away a dog or owner who needed help. Her aim is a lifetime of balance between a dog and its family, built on trust and genuine understanding rather than management alone. For owners facing a serious behavioural problem, particularly one involving a bite history or a dog others have declined to work with, Tracie's experience is exactly the kind that matters.
