Professional experience
Since 2016 Jerry has committed himself to studying and practising the full range of dog training styles and methods, and that breadth is deliberate. Through a combination of formal education and steady hands on work, he has arrived at a clear position, which is that positive reinforcement can resolve the large majority of behavioural challenges that families bring to him. His work covers foundation obedience through to advanced work, and extends into the two areas owners most often feel stuck with, which are aggression and anxiety. Jerry's stated mission is to help families build peace and harmony at home through routine, communication and love, and he treats each of those three as a practical tool rather than a sentiment. He is direct with owners about something he has seen too often, which is that unresolved behavioural issues put dogs at genuine risk of losing their homes, or worse. That awareness gives his work its urgency. He is committed to helping both the dog and the people around it build a relationship strong enough to last the animal's whole life.
A little bit about me
Jerry has had a love of animals since he was young, and it was noticeable early. Family and friends repeatedly commented on his natural ability to work with dogs and to understand what they were communicating, long before he had any thought of doing it professionally. That instinct sat alongside years of research and countless conversations with other trainers who shared the same obsession, and eventually the pull became impossible to ignore. He made the decision to turn what had always been a passion into a profession, and began the work of becoming a trainer in earnest. What owners get as a result is someone who did not arrive at this career by accident or convenience. Jerry chose it, prepared for it properly, and brings a genuine belief that with the right guidance every dog and every family can find their way to a good outcome.
