Professional experience
Drew is an expert trainer whose commitment to developing his craft has been deliberate and sustained since 2019, when he was introduced to the NePoPo philosophy by a certified trainer and NePoPo Gold Graduate. That introduction shaped the direction of his entire career. Since then he has pursued knowledge across the field with real seriousness, attending numerous seminars, webinars and schools delivered by highly regarded trainers rather than relying on any single source of learning. He recently earned the title of New NePoPo Gold Graduate under the guidance of Kirubell Yohannes, a qualification that signifies mastery of the Modern Art of Dog Training and one that relatively few trainers hold. For owners trying to distinguish between trainers, that credential is a meaningful marker, because it represents assessed competence against a defined standard rather than self declared expertise. Drew's journey into the profession began with genuine love and enthusiasm for dogs, and the technical rigour he has built on top of that foundation is what makes his work effective.
A little bit about me
Drew's development as a trainer has been characterised by a refusal to stop at competent. Having found his direction through the NePoPo philosophy in 2019, he committed to learning from a wide range of highly regarded trainers rather than settling into one comfortable method, and the Gold Graduate qualification he recently earned reflects the depth of that work. His specialisms cover basic and adolescent training, advanced obedience and rehabilitation, giving him range across the full span of what families typically need. Underneath the technical credentials sits the thing that started it all, which is straightforward enthusiasm for dogs and for the process of helping them succeed. Owners get a trainer who has invested heavily in formal development and who continues to seek out instruction from the best people in the field, which is not a common combination.
