For dogs aged 6–18 months Navigating the teenage phase of your dog can be challenging. Our Adolescent Obedience Program is designed to guide your growing pup toward becoming a well-mannered, joyful family member. Why Choose This Program Your dog will live with an experienced trainer in a home environment, learning practical skills that translate seamlessly to your household. Ideal for busy families, we handle the training, allowing you to enjoy a happier pup and a smoother daily routine. What Your Dog Will Learn: Household Manners: Polite greetings, door etiquette, and refraining from counter-surfing. Impulse Control: Mastering commands like leave it, engaging in calm chewing, and reducing excessive barking. Advanced Commands: Extended sit/down and stay, structured heel and leash walking, reliable recall, even amidst distractions, and name recognition to ensure attentiveness. How the Program Works Training occurs in a real home setting, ensuring skills are relevant and lasting. You'll receive daily updates with photos, videos, and progress reports to keep you informed. Two in-person handover sessions will equip you with the tools to maintain success. Additionally, you'll have access to digital guides and ongoing trainer support for continued progress. Njoud and her family gave Teri so much love and care during the three weeks. Njoud helped Teri get on the right track, with house manners, walking her has improved. Njoud came out for a follow up, Teri went nuts so happy to see her and after giving Njoud some love she went right in following her commands. On our walk Njoud got to see Teri walking and gave me some more training that I needed. Thank you Njoud

Edward was a great trainer! it’s worth spending so much for training when you get what you ask for. My 1 year old lab mix had an aggressive streak and wouldn’t let anyone close him in his kennel without getting nasty about it. During the drop at home he went in the kennel and let me shut him in and bang on it with minimal sass. I couldn’t be happier, and I can tell my dog is happier too. Edward did a good job making sure I understood how to correct him and continue his training properly. He learned everything we wanted, and we have already planned our follow up to continue his training with his new tricks, and socialization with people. Not to mention how great the updates were, pictures or videos almost every other day or so with explanations on exactly what he was doing and how he was doing it. I was constantly showing everyone around me Asta’s progress in the videos I was so proud. Thank you again Edward for helping our little man. I don’t know what we would have done without you.

Max was my dog trainer he was so much more than I could of expected..he did such an amazing job with my miniature dachshund..we r so thankful for all his help with Nala...we felt so comfortable talking to him ..besides my dog learning so much more than I could of done meeting Max was like having a new friend!

Our trainer Luis was amazing, from the day of pickup, giving updates everyday, responding to any question or concern that we had during the training. Prior to the training our dog was very aggressive on a leash towards people and some other dogs and animals. Was terrified of his crate and it was impossible to leave him home alone for more than two minutes. Now we feel way more comfortable and safe walking with him, and have no problem leaving the house. Definitely recommend it to any dog owner who dont have the time or knowledge to put into their dog training.

Elijah is amazing! He performed miracles with our Golden Doodle, Molly. I was very nervous to send her away to be trained, but it was the best decision I could have made. Molly was a Covid dog. She suffered from separation anxiety and didn’t associate with other dogs. Taking her to the Vet or groomers was a nightmare. Elijah sent daily videos and updates, he took the time to address every question or concern I had during her training. Molly came home after 4 weeks training knowing place command, least behavior, improved socialization skills and less reactive to triggers. Even in the earlier videos I could see how much Molly liked him. She wanted to please him. Truly, Elijah was amazing with her. He’s like a Dog Whisperer. I would highly recommend Elijah as a trainer!

Dogwise Academy is a great place to find the perfect trainer for your pet. Our experience with Njoud as our English bulldog's trainer was absolutely wonderful! She is a very dedicated and a professional trainer. Chato(our dog) came home after a 5 week training session knowing commands, basic obedience and less reactive to triggers. My 8 month old Corgi, Frankie, spent 2 weeks with Luis working on potty training and loose leash training. So far, Frankie has had 0 accidents in our apartment and is a significantly better walker on the streets of NYC. Luis was always responsive and is clearly experienced in dog training. He also took plenty of time with us at drop off to go through training techniques and answer our questions. Would recommend Luis and DogWise!

Luis was a godsend. I had nothing but a great time with Luis as he was able to turn my Pomsky from this maniac on a leash that would pull nonstop and have massive separation anxiety if I just stepped into another room to this what I would like to call now, a dog, my friend, and I have to say that if it wasn’t for Luis Coming in and such a short notice I don’t know what I would’ve done

I had Kristopher as Elliott’s trainer. It was so hard for him to leave for a five week period. Voila new and improved Elliott. Kristopher communicated every day and answered my questions. Where will my dog be staying?
Dogs stay in our certified trainer's homes. Each dog will have access to ample exercise, treats, toys and tons of training and love.How much will training cost?
Prices vary depending on the duration, type of training, and needs of each dog. We'd be happy to talk you through our programs and identify the right option for you and your furry family member.Will my dog be training alone?
Most of our expert trainers typically have 2-3 additional dogs at one time. This offers an enriching experience for your dog as they are able to socialise and also learn from other dogs. All dogs are closely supervised and trainers have years of experience managing all types of dogs, ages, behavioral issues etc. They are always able to keep your dog safe and happy.How long are the programs?
Basic obedience programs are 2-4 weeks, with Anxiety and Aggression cases typically needing 4-6 weeks. There are, however, exceptions to every rule and we always want to evaluate each case individually. You can learn more about all programs we offer by contacting a pet consultant or viewing our full list of programs.Does my dog have to go away?
Board and train programs are what we specialize in. It offers a fully immersive experience for dogs in order to truly change behaviors. Although this is a great start, and particularly effective for busy pet parents, continuing education with your dog afterward will also be important. We make sure you have the knowledge to keep working from home.How fast can you schedule training?
As we only work with the very best trainers we sometimes do have a waiting list, but we do our best to get dogs into a program within 30 days of sign-up.Do you have payment plans?
Yes, we provide payment plan options. Pay over 6 months with 0% APR interest, and no hidden fees. Pay over 12-36 months at 15.2% APR interest and no hidden fees.
